JEANETTE DAFOE
Jeanette (Jan) Catherine Dafoe passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 82.
Per Jeanette's wishes, there will be no formal service and cremation has taken place.

Jan was an outstanding human being, one whom I admired for her honesty, integrity, and artistic skills. She taught me very much and not just about poodles although what she shared was treasured. She taught my daughter to be a handler at 15 and built Stephanie’s poise and composure which prepared her for Medicine. I cannot praise Jan enough because she never laughed at me but did the job. Steph was tall for her age and was accepted by professional handlers as an equal. Jan was the thrust behind my daughter’s success as a doctor. Poodles have always been a big part of my family’s life and that’s how we met Jan. Jan’s poodles were exceptionally beautiful and smart! Jan had a a bit of a tough shell but once you got to know her and share her love of dogs ( more importantly poodles) you were in. Rest in peace, Jan. It was a pleasure to know you.
